Merry Christmas

Our first Christmas with Reece was really wonderful. We had a white Christmas in Oklahoma this year, which hasn't happened in a long time. Reece had no idea what was going on, just that there was a lot of hustle and bustle and new people. She really loved looking at all the Christmas trees and lights.

All dressed up for her first Christmas concert

Reece had a personal visit from a special Santa this year. We will see how long it takes Reece to figure out who this special Santa is because I don't remember ever figuring it our. It was also the perfect opportunity to wear her Christmas PJ's that were given to her by her cousin Riley.

Meeting her other Colorado cousins, they were so sweet with her!

It was a very special Christmas and we can't wait to celebrate many more with our sweet little Reece!

Family Fun at Jordan's Graduation

Jordan graduated from OSU the fall, so of course we had to have a big party to celebrate. Reece was able to meet lots of new family members at the party and see some family we had missed and hadn't seen in a while(hint Tyler Horn). We were especially excited for her to meet Madeline, my youngest cousin. We are really trying to convince Madeline to follow in her brothers footsteps and come to OSU. I even know someone she could babysit :)! Matt, Reece and I will miss Jordan so much when he goes back to Colorado. He has been such a big part of our lives for the past five years, it's hard not to imagine him dropping by regularly. We will miss all of the dinners, cooking, and especially the laughs! He even had to give up his old room for Reece. I know we will stay very close, and Reece will always have fun (legal fun) with her cousin Jordan. Thanks for the great party Mike and Phoebe!

2 Months Old!!

Reece's second month was full of all sorts of fun and changes. Reece is really growing, she is at the top end of both her weight and height for her age. We couldn't be happier that Reece is a healthy baby. She is changing so fast and doing new things everyday. She has started smiling and making lots of new noises. She really loves to experiment with her voice. Reece especially enjoys bathtime, a future swimmer maybe. By the time we are done giving her a bath every night, the bathroom is covered in water. We also had a wonderful time celebrating her first Thanksgiving this month.

Our First Thanksgiving

I have a lot of catching up to do on this blog so here it goes. We spent our first Thanksgiving at the Foster's house with the whole family. It is so nice that both of our parents live in Stillwater and we can all spend holidays together. We really enjoyed all of the wonderful food and family time!

First Tailgate

Reece finally got to go to what will probably be her first of many tailgates. It was a beautiful night in Stillwater and it was great to get out and see our friends. The Cowboys didn't win, but we still had fun!

This is what happens when you let Jordan dress a baby. Bless his future children!

She slept through most of the party.....

Then woke up when it was time to leave!

One Month Old

Reece is one month old today. It is hard to describe what a wonderful, challenging, and life changing month this has been. We can hardly believe how fast our little girl is changing! She is getting better at focusing on people and objects, and her neck is getting very strong. Matt swears she is already a huge football fan because she can't take her eyes off the TV when it is on.  Matt and I have learned so much these past four weeks... most of all that sleep is for the weak! We are so blessed to have such a healthy and happy baby girl.

Reece says GO POKES! BEAT TEXAS!

Party Girl

Brian and I with our daughters

Reece with her party shirt

This weekend Reece took her first out of town trips. This Saturday we made the trip to Fairview to celebrate Laynie's 1st Birthday. Laynie is my cousin Brian's daughter. It was a great party! Michelle pulled out all the stops, including themed t-shirts for all of the little guests. Then on Sunday, Reece and I traveled to Edmond to attend a baby shower for my friend Tyler. Reece spent some quality time with Ryan, Tyler's daughter, who keeps us all laughing with her BIG personality. Ryan got to practice being a big sister by holding Reece.

Just a Sneak Peek of Newborn Photos

Reece had her newborn photo session last week. The full gallery isn't up yet, but the photographer posted a preview on her blog. We can't wait to see all of them!

We Are Family

Reece has had alot of visitors her first few days at home. Matt and I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family in our lives. It has been so great having all of the help and support our first few days home. People always said a baby will change your life, but I guess you have to experience it to really understand what everyone was talking about. We can't get enough of her (even at 2 AM). Reece is surrounded by love!

Homecoming

Matt and I brought Reece home on Friday afternoon. We were so excited to get settled at home and for Reece to meet her four-legged family members. The dogs love Reece so far. They were very curious about her at first, but have become her buddies. Deets has been especially attentive to her, which should come as a surprise to anyone who knows Deets. He has always been Matt's dog and Matt's dog only. Looks like he has a new friend!
